WHY CHOOSE US?
We've surveyed the competition and witnessed the limitations of other flooring systems, and they simply can't measure up to our epoxy. While some may balk at the initial cost, the old adage holds true: you get what you pay for!
Top two reasons for epoxy flooring failure and delamination are (1) lack of surface preparation and (2) moisture transmission from foundation. At Ace Coatings, we grind (with diamond bladed grinders) and Prep ALL our floors NO exceptions for proper adhesion, and MVB (moisture vapor barrior) is standard on all applications unlike ALL of our competitors. As for big box products proper preparation is not required or recommended, nor does product retain any moisture, making it a temporary bandage on a ugly floor(made to fail).
Sure, you could opt for a DIY water base epoxy paint for your garage floor from the big box store, we understand that money doesn't grow on trees, and neither does epoxy. As for big box store 50% solid water base epoxy, it does NOT compare to our products and procedure.
For starters we use 100% Solids Moisture Barrior Epoxy compared to our "competitors" and water based epoxys, which does NOT retain moisture, and evaporates as it dries, the percentage that evaporates is the same as the percentage of solids it lacks to reach 100%. For example, if the epoxy is 50% solids, half of the coating will evaporate as it dries leaving you with 25% solids.
Water-based epoxy is easier to apply than 100% solids epoxy coatings because it uses water as a base, but it also thins as it dries. For example, a water based epoxy coating that is recommended 8 millimeters thick when applied may dry to 3.5 to 4 millimeters thick as the water evaporates.
